On Saturday, December 7th, was filled to the brim with happy and excited animal owners waiting in line to get their photo taken. Not just any photo, but one with their furry, feathered, and scaly friends with Santa Claus and the Grinch!
The special event was fantastic, with nearly 100 families from around the area showing up to enjoy cookies and holiday cheer all afternoon with their fellow animal-loving neighbors and their pets.
Visitors were especially excited to meet Santa and the Grinch. Also making an appearance were some extra special guests. Center’s manager, Marty, and her team showed off some of their patients, including a live owl!
So far, a total of $681.00 in donations has been raised to support the Wanakia Wildlife Rehabilitation Center along with gifts of pet food, gift cards, cleaning supplies, and animal bedding. Financial contributions are still being collected, as well as any item on the Wanakia Wildlife’s wish list (found on their website).
