Dr. Emma Sweet
DVM

Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Emma Sweet joined the Brook-Falls Veterinary Hospital team in 2023. She grew up in Hartland, Wisconsin with a wide variety of pets and rescued many different kinds of wildlife in need. It is these early childhood memories centering around animals and her family always encouraging her curiosity with both pets and wild animals that led her into a career working with them.

Dr. Sweet graduated from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls in 2016 and achieved her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine in 2022. She enjoys that animals are just as diverse as the people that love them and loves that animals bring people from all walks of life together. She is motivated knowing that animals who are a part of the family deserve the same attention and level of care as their humans.

She is inspired by all of the strong women in her life - her wife, her mom, friends and colleagues. She admires activists of human rights, particularly in marginalized communities.

In her free time, she enjoys lounging on her couch watching a good show or relaxing with family, humans and animals alike. Her biggest supporter is her wife, Kelsey, who has always motivated her to be better, do better, and supported her throughout her veterinary education and let her bring home "far too many animals".

Together they have six dogs (Alfredo, Ziggy, Zoey, Alfonso, Alejandro and Drizzy), four cats (Mollie, Oliver, Hollie and Tater Tot) and four guinea pigs (Harry, Tori, Chai and Pepper).

Fun Fact: She is also fluent in Spanish and is always looking for opportunities to practice her second language!
